What is it? |
The Professional Development Day (PDD) Conference is a day-long professional development conference presented by The University of Texas at Austin's Academic Counselors Association (ACA). PDD is put on by a planning committee comprised of academic advisors and student affairs professionals representing colleges and functional areas across the UT Austin campus, providing various perspectives on higher education and student life.

Our History |
Initially, PDD was a small half-day retreat for members of ACA to share best practices and learn about current issues related to advising at UT Austin. Over the years, the scope of PDD was broadened to include sessions for professional skills and personal growth. Constant participation and demand has spurred PDD's growth into a day-long conference with attendees from institutions all across Texas.
